Background

AMOC and DHV are two Foundations, united in one organisation with a common board of directors. DHV, founded in 1882, has the aim to support Germans, who are in trouble in the Netherlands. AMOC, founded in 1978, has a broader approach and supports foreigners with drug problems.
 
The group of drug users comes from all over Europe and is using hard drugs and other substances. Many of them has a psychiatric disorder as well. The most of them comes from Germany, Italy, Great Britain; a continuously rising group comes from East Europe, many of them working in the male prostitution. Beside that is there a group, experimenting with drugs and (not yet) addicted (mostly young people). Nevertheless they face similar problems than our other clients: not insured, homeless, health problems.
